Meet Hank Bee on the Corner

So excited to be releasing the debut single by Hank Bee today - Corner

Many of my most trusted ears have played with Hank Bee when travelling thru Liverpool and came back down south with much excitement - it's a real honour to be putting out her wonderful song, and such a wonderful video with it too.

There's something about Corner that is so powerful but so tender, both lyrically and musically. Fairly muscular riffs mix with beautiful, hooky melodies, and Hank's lyrics just paint such a specific but universal picture of feeling totally lost and unsure of what the fuck you're doing and what the fuck is going on.

Hank Bee's debut EP 'a sudden hankering' will be out on digital and cassette 30th January.

Grove Breaks A Sweat in the fight against colonial violence

Grove is back with their first proper new music in 2 years, and it’s quite a return. The multi headed HYDRA project will drop 10th December, and this first track BREAK A SWEAT sets a militant tempo.

Grove says of the track:

“BREAKING A SWEAT IS DISCOMFORT.

BREAKING A SWEAT IS STRENGTH & FITNESS.

BREAKING A SWEAT IS MASS DISOBEDIENCE.

BREAKING A SWEAT IS FUTURE LIBERATION.

Making this song was a reminder for me to persevere. To keep moving, no matter how small the steps. The future is both bleak and bright, and there’s little chance in what it ends up being, only its price in sweat.

This is a deep appreciation for resistance movements globally. May the oppressors never know peace.“
